Settle Your Handover Times First

A tight multi-stop itinerary leaves little slack, so both handovers deserve fixed slots in your day. Reaching the car, signing the agreement and loading bags takes longer than expected. Work backwards from your first commitment, keep both hours inside opening times, and get whatever is agreed in writing.

Agree the Driver List Before You Enquire

Only drivers named on the agreement may take the wheel, so decide around your own kitchen table who they are. Include anyone likely to share the driving on longer legs. Check each licence is current, note penalty points or an automatic-only entitlement, and ask what identification each driver must bring.

Ask About Costs and Cover Up Front
