Start From the Return Time

Fix the latest sensible hour for bringing the truck back, then arrange everything before it. The paid period covers only the hours the vehicle sits with you; travel, checks, loading and refuelling all eat into the rest of the day. Ask for the agreed times in writing.

Both handovers involve more than a signature.
