Pick Your Drivers at Home

Only drivers named on the agreement get the keys. Choose them at your kitchen table, not at the desk. Every extra name means more checks. Find each licence early. Check it is valid. Declare points, foreign licences or a long gap since driving anything this size. Honesty early costs nothing.

Let the Load Choose the Truck

List everything. Give each bulky item its own line. A sofa. A fridge. The wardrobe that fights back. Weigh the load as well as measuring it, since a half-empty bay can sit near its payload limit. Name two sizes if torn. Request straps or blankets. State manual or automatic.

Settle Money and Cover Early

Ask about money and cover first. What insurance comes with the truck? How big is the excess? How is the deposit held? Any mileage cap? Fuel terms? Windscreens, tyres and load bays often follow different rules. Request the document checklist. Free trucks on your dates only appear once you book.
