Let the Load Set the Size

List everything before you look at vehicles. Measure the awkward pieces. The long planks. The wardrobe that will not come apart. One oversized item often settles the choice. A few boxes fit a compact van. A house move needs something bigger. Remember straps and blankets take up space.

Give Weight the Same Attention as Volume

Floor space tells only half the story. Boxes of tools, tiles or books can exhaust a weight allowance long before the load bay looks full. Work out tonnage as carefully as volume. Say so early if the load is unusually heavy. Straps and padding also claim room you have measured.
