Build the Hire Period Around the Whole Day

One bulky item can eat more hours than expected. Loading a piano takes care; strapping it down takes longer still. Count in the drive, the unloading and the return handover, then ask for the truck from early morning. Generous timing costs far less than a rushed second trip.

Ask About Costs and Cover in the Same Message

Put money and protection questions in one email. Ask what the daily rate includes, whether mileage is capped, and how the excess works — plus what cover applies if you clip a gatepost on a narrow lane. A firm that answers these plainly, in writing, deserves your booking.
